Dear Parents,
Please take note of the following:

School Times
Parents please note that next week is a normal school academic week. Week 2 on the timetable will be followed. Please take note of our times:
Monday, 18 June to Thursday, 21 June - school will end at 12:10 and town bus will leave at 12:30.
Friday, 23 June - school will end at 10:30 and the town bus will leave at 11:00.

Reports
Grades 1 - 7: These reports will be sent home with your child/ren on Friday, 23 June.
Grades 8 - 12: Parents are to collect these reports between 10:30 and 11:00 on Friday, 23 June in the Art Room. Please note that should you be unable to collect your child's report, an adult is to be sent with a letter of permission from yourself to collect the report.

District Maths Competition
Congratulations to Blade McLean in Grade 3 - he came third out of 22 Grade 3 learners who competed in the East London District Maths Competition.

Adventure Race 2018: Sponsorship options
On 7-8 September over 400 athletes will take part in the Lilyfontein Adventure Race. If you want to associate your name with a fun, healthy, challenging event which will entice people to the Wildcoast Jikeleza area, take a look at the sponsorship/donation options at this link. Funride: Raffle
Join us for the Lilyfontein TOTAL Funride on Saturday, 16 June, buy a raffle ticket for R15 and stand two chances of winning half a sheep.
Entry for quads and motorbikes on the day R 200.00 PER RIDER or R150 PER U/16 RIDER. The first 200 riders to enter will receive a T-shirt.

Beach Clean up on World Environment Day
Please join Miss Steyn and the Eco team as they support the Ocean Life Line Project to clean up our beaches on World Environment Day.
Please meet at Nahoon Lifesavers' Shack on Thursday, 21 June at 2:30pm. We will clean up for an hour. To make sure we make an impact as Lilyfontein School, please wear your athletics vest and school shorts.

Fundraising Fun
Please support the drummies in their fundraising efforts:
- 22 June - there will be a Wine and Spaghetti Evening at Umnenga Lodge starting at 18h30. Adults R60 and children R45. Wine auction

- 24 June - they are hosting a 4.2 km run/walk/cycle at Python Park. R20 to enter. Run starts at 12:00 and market stalls run from 9am-
2pm. Join them for a fun day out.

Drummie of the Year is from Lilyfontein School
Lilyfontein Drum Majorette, Sibulele Kentane, was announced as the Mark Wilkins Majorette of the Year on Saturday 2 June, at the Eastern Cape Majorette provincials held at Gonubie Primary School.
Lilyfontein School competed in the competition and came first in all disciplines: Flag Drill, Throwing Prop, Non-prop, Large Drill and won Champion of Champions

Lilyfontein Rugby Player makes Border U18 Academy Rugby Team for 2018.
Congratulations to Tess van der Walt on being selected for the final Border u/18 Academy Rugby team for 2018. The team will be representing their Province at the annual u/18 Coca Cola Academy Week which will be hosted by Paarl Boys High School in Paarl from the 8th-14th July 2018.
We wish him luck!

Keira Davis' results were follows:
1. Equitation – 1st place – Intermediate Test 4 - 90cm – Graded Pony Rider. Overall Champion – and won the Avalon’s Conquest
Equitation Floating Trophy for accumulating the highest or top score for the class.
2. Showing – 2nd place - Open 80cm Working Hunter - Graded Pony Rider. Overall Reserve Champion for the class.
3. Showjumping – 2nd place – A2 Speed - Graded Pony Rider.
